Lessons & Instruction
Lessons are held in my studio in the University District, but I may be able to drive to your location in some cases.
I almost always teach one hour lessons, but 45 minutes lessons are available.
Lessons can be weekly, or you are welcome to schedule one-off lessons.
I accept all levels of students, including students new to the guitar and to music.
I have been taking guitar lessons from Eric for about two years now. I
started out not knowing anything about playing the guitar. He has really
made an extra effort to help me and is very flexible about the kinds of
pieces and the style that I want to learn. I have really appreciated his
patience and enthusiam. I am now moving out of state and will miss my
lessons!
My focus is always to make lessons fun for the student, while introducing them to the
guitar repertoire and making steady progress. I also cover all aspects of music, including theory which
is taught at the same time as learning pieces.
For students who don't have a car,
I offer the use of a practice guitar for use during lessons - so you don't have to carry your instrument
by hand in case you have a long way to walk. While I do accept students who want to play the steel string acoustic
guitar or electric, I only teach beginners in these non-classical guitar styles and will move you on to a
different teacher once you learn the basics.
